'We the under signed believe it essential that Powys County Council bring forward by 6 months their plans to commence work on a county wide review of traffic management and residents’ parking schemes and start preparatory work in September 2011 so that the full review can be completed before the Council elections and when the current moratorium on spending ends in April 2012. This petition is open to residents and visitors to Powys.'

How you can help

This forum welcomes contributions from all those who are interested in pursuading Powys County Council to review residents' parking throughout the county.

The council originally told us that their moratorium on spending would not allow spending on introducing any changes to residents' parking until April 2012. It is now April and we are demanding that a newly elected Powys administration implement policy changes immediately rather than delaying any further.

Promises have been made and we are told a review has been started, but we have seen no evidence of anything having yet been done. The new administration is an opportunity for a new start. Powys County Councillors are elected to carry out the wishes of their electorate - let them do so NOW.
